As established by the Government Mufti of Brunei Darussalam through the Fatwa (16/2020) Bil.24-1/2/5Ej(2) series dated 18th Syawal 1441H/10th June 2020, which had stated that “Online Payment of Zakat Harta and Fitrah is permissible and valid as it is in accordance with the procedure set by Syara’ in the payment of Zakat.”

The eZakat platform is open for all Muslims in Brunei Darussalam.

eZakat will be made available for the payment of Zakat Fitrah starting from the first day of Ramadhan 1444H and it will end on 28 Ramadhan 1444H. (Before Maghrib prayer)

The payment categories are as follows:

• For the Zakat payer
• For the Zakat payer and his/her dependents
• On his/her behalf
• On behalf and may include their dependents

The conditions for payments on eZakat are:

• Muslim (Islam)
• Zakat Fitrah payers and their dependents must be in Brunei Darussalam.
• Payment of Zakat Fitrah cannot be made by way of debt

You can use the following options when using eZakat:

• Easi
• Mobi
• EASI Card
• Debit Card (such as BIBD Debit Card)
Note: Zakat payers must ensure that they have a sufficient credit balance for the use of Debit Card, EASI or MOBI.

Your eZakat payment might not be successful because of the following reasons:

• You do not have enough credit in your Easi. You are advised to recharge your credit before proceeding with any payments, online recharge is available within the eZakat platform
• For Mobi users, you are advised to make sufficient advance payment into your account.
• You do not have enough funds in your debit account.

Please be informed that any remaining balance from the Easi Voucher will not be refunded. However as per our agreement, the remaining balance will be channelled to DST charity funds.
